Many designers this season are taking an understated approach to fashion in a reaction to the down economy. Everything is austere and muted. However, Diane Von Furstenberg's Fall 2009 is eclectic, bright and optimistic. She gave us leopard prints, oversized sweaters, teed and lace full of dark purples and bright pinks. She demonstrated beautiful layering that translates well from day to evening. DVF's clothes shows her love and understanding of the "real" woman. This line gave women a fun (did you check out those hats!) and vibrant look that is ready to take on any challenge. DVF is a true inspiration.
