Chic and Glamorous: Windsor Smith

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I am constantly thinking about how to decorate our cottage. Naturally, we have a lot of vintage and shabby chic pieces, but lately I have become obsessed with everything Windsor Smith. She does glamour like no one else. I admire her ability to make eclectic look so cohesive and chic. The way she can pair icey blue and pink is incredible. If I could take liberties with our place I would do a pink wall in a heart beat. On a recent a recent shopping trip I found the perfect orange boxes for my closet. I love the punch of color they add. Now, what I need is more fabulous clothes to go with them.

Very inspiring! I'm a beginner interior designer so I love to see these pictures!

I got my pink fixes in my closet room {which I posted about yesterday} - I know the hubby would freak if I brought home a pink sofa - even though that one is gorgeous. It's all such a compromise isn't it?

Oh I love these rooms! They are so colourful!
The pastel colour palette in the third room is my absolute favourite, and that bouquet of pink flowers is such a nice touch! I can't get enough of looking at these.

I normally would steer clear of the pink wall, but I really like how it's accented here.

Wow.. you're right. the icy blue and pale pink are gorgeous together. I did take the liberty and painted our master bedroom pale pink...it's perfect. i love it! i have it paired with bright orange accents and lucite lamps and white wood floors. i still have work to do but i love it!

That color combination is so unexpected but works perfectly! I love her glamorously feminine taste in decorating. Would love to see some of the changes you end up incorporating!

wow i had never heard of her before- i love this! i always find myself attracted to either shabby chic or glam/regency style things, and never thought the 2 went together. but i think these looks manage to combine them really well. ~joelle

Oh I am in LOVE! I'm trying to decorate a tiny 1 bedroom in DC and this inspires so much! Not sure what the husband would say about a pink wall but the pops of pink make it so homey. Thank you for the post!!

Oh I do love her style! The only problem is that I'm not too sure how my boyfriend would feel about a bubblegum pink sofa when we potentially live together maybe, someday. But for a bachelorette pad, ideal.

How I would love a "cottage" to decorate...has a much more charming ring than basement-level apartment (which I try to gussy up by calling it my "garden" apartment). Seriously though, the picture of the pale blue chairs against the monster pink canvas is just too pretty to contemplate. If my boyfriend wouldn't feel completely emasculated, I might spring for a beautiful pink sofa as well.

{sigh} I wish my husband would not die a slow, masculine death if I painted a wall pink. Dreaming! But it is truly fab. Maybe my shoe closet?
