J. Crew Style

Dress- old Forever 21, Blazer & Belt-H&M, Socks- J. Crew, Shoes-Jeffrey Campbell, Necklace- c/o Earth Visible. Bag-Vintage

Sometimes I get in the mood to challenge myself to try a new a particular style. One style I always try to play with is J. Crew (tried here). I admire their quirky touches and how they play with feminine and masculine pieces. I instantly grabbed prints and colors and then started pulling out menswear like my cream blazer and cut-out oxfords. I went with J. Crew socks, but the rest are random old pieces that have been in my closet forever. While the look was fun and interesting, it was not practical and I found myself wanting to change.

Whilst it may not be practical, I do love this look and all the quirky little touches. My favourite piece has to be the dress, I adore the cut, it looks great on you.
Thanks for all you sweet comments!
Have a lovely day.

these photos are on point! so pretty. I think JCrew has taken a whole new turn away from the whole mall thing - before it was just a lump of Gap/Jcrew/Banana Republic but they've really come to their own that I think were all in love with now

I love this outfit on you and I think you look great in anything. Although I can see you wanting more texture and creativity. I love the blazer and I love how you can recreate a line of clothing without really using that line of clothing.

I'm digging the brogues though!

I have lately found myself playing with my oxford flats and socks, but than changing into either different shoes, or pants. The whole looks is perfect on you, but I understand that sometimes things just don't feel the way you hoped they would.

Love the blazer, such a universal piece!

I have to say the dress reminds me of more of an Urban Outfitters dress as none of the dresses at J.Crew are really cut like that. I do have to say that the socks with shoes trend has run rampant at J.Crew and I find myself at a loss for when it would actually be appropriate to need to cover your feet for warmth but not your legs. Haha oh well! Still a very cute outfit on you!

I really love this outfit and how versatile it is! Wear it to shop, throw on a pair of pumps and off to the office, take of the jacket and it's cocktail time. Fantastic!

I love J.Crew style! Every month, when a new lookbook comes out I spend quite a bit of time looking through it and wishing my closet included many of the featured pieces.

I love JCrew and I think you nailed the look. It's perfect for in between seasons like Fall and Spring and I have to say, I would find it challenging to try to wear oxfords and socks with a dress but it looks great on you!

hi girl! i have very mixed emotions when it comes to jcrew. i like how clean things are...meaning clean lines, clean esthetics etc....but i cannot get over how expensive it is there! ramblings aside, i really love the exposure of the image...the veiled effect, so pretty!

I really love the way J Crew styles their catalog, but the looks only work with very thin and tall models. That's how they can get away with layering so much! Still, I love the look, and I do enjoy the way you styled your outfit here as well.
