On My Mind

paris

I always enjoy the On My Mind section of InStyle. Here is my own version.

Morning perk- I am addicted to Starbucks Double Shot Lights. They are the perfect amount of expresso and sweetness.

Every day makeup- Winged eyeliner, mascara, pink lips and a little blush.

Fall fetish- Satchels. I love the classic vintage look they add to any fall outfit.

Guilty pleasure- Peanut butter. I eat it straight out of the jar almost every day. It feels so gluttonous, but I can't help it.

Next purchase-  I am looking for the perfect calf length skirt.

Game time- Pictionary with my friends. I am so competitive in board games and I get a little over the top.

Signature scent- I tend to switch scents based on my mood, but I always go back to Chanel Chance. It is sweet and spicy. If I forget to spritz perfume I feel like my look isn't complete.

Just saw- The Social Network. It was so interesting to watch a film about a platform that we all use today. Fascinating.

Recurring dream- I look effortlessly chic roaming around Paris on my bike,  reading amazing novels, drinking an obscene amount of coffee and wine, and eating amazing pastries.

Work out- Fitness is really important to me. However, I am not immune to laziness. That is why Crossfit is great. I can get in there and have a fun and intense work out and be done in 20 min. I also enjoy running, swimming, and yoga.

Favorite happy hour- Sipping a glass of vino with my boyfriend at the end of the week. We get to catch up and really focus on one another.

New hobby- Cooking. I have always liked to bake, but never made the time. Recently, I promised myself that I would make it a habit. Now I have discovered how relaxing and fun it is.

Dream vacation- I want to travel to so many places that it is hard to pick. I know that next year I am yearning for a trip to Spain and France.

Planning vacations have become a recent priority of mine. My next trips is to Bali in Spring 2011. It's apparently super cheap, beautiful and interesting. Total win.

Well inspired by Gabby from Gypsy Diaries I decided to start dating my live-in boyfriend more.
We have become much too comfortable and always just end up laying around on the sofa, but no more! I have two dates planned this weekend, and I am looking forward to it.
I hope you have a great weekend :o)

Such a great post Taylor! I love that section of Instyle too.

Planning holidays is so fun, I am desperate to travel to so many places, especially asia and thailand. Spain and France are such beautiful countries, definitely worth a visit, their little villages off the beaten track are so cute and full of culture. Btw you're not alone in eating peanut butter straight from the jar!
Enjoy your weekend xxx

Definitely want to see the Social Network and I love that intimate detail about the peanut butter. I think I am that way with frosting, but not every day. I would say, every three months.

This post was great...esp the catching up with the bf at the end of the week. Sometimes life goes by so fast you forget to ask the other person how their day went :-)

Fabulous post -- I love the theme/idea -- and what a great way to get to know you better...

the way you feel about peanut butter is how I feel about Nutella. Seriously, when I go to my favorite Italian shop, I purchase the large jar. People look at me, look at the jar, look at me, and wonder -- how can such a tiny person want such a large jar? = love.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend, lovely,

xoxo

Also searching for the perfect calf-length skirt! It's tricky because so many of them make you look matronly so it has to be the perfect proportion!

Sounds like you need to go to France, especially if you're dreaming about biking around Paris! :) I've been to both France and Spain as a high school and college study abroad student. I soo wish I could go back as an adult! I think I'd appreciate it so much more!
