The Chair

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
H&M leather jacket, J Crew striped shirt, Forever 21 skirt, cuff and necklace, Sam Edelman boots
Sometimes I will just be doing things and inspiration for a photo session will come about. There is something about the quiet air, the sound of the washer machine and eating a crisp bowl of cereal that is so peaceful! The top half of this outfit was actually what I wore to work all day and then when I got home I slipped out of them and threw on this tutu that was on the closet floor (I added shoes for the photos, I was barefoot originally). Maybe it is my kitchen, but something about these photos felt a little retro.

Some of you have asked me about how to create a blog. Truthfully there is no one way. I think the main thing about creating your own fashion blog is to have fun. There are no rules except to have fun and enjoy it. Now, if you want to get more technical I would say that having creative and fun pictures that are large helps. Also, being consistent and having a sense of who you are and no straying from it. People will respect your point of view and those who connect with it will be daily readers! My blog is not even what many would could consider "successful", it has not risen to the top quickly and that is fine by me. I have developed a strong readership that I adore. If it eventually becomes more successful that is awesome, but more importantly it is about expressing my opinions, loves, and inspirations. I hope that you all enjoy it and I plan to keep improving the site each and every day!

gorgeous, i totally know what you mean about spontaneous photo shoots, if the lighting is really pretty somewhere or i just feel like taking pretty pics, then its the right time, even if i dont have time. haha.

I noticed some changes with the layout of your blog, I really want to customize mine but have no idea how to work html's/ or how to create a website in general. did you do yours yourself? any tips, or just kind of a short explination would help tremendously <3

I like your advice on creating and perfecting a blog. I absolutely agree, just let your personality shine through your way of presenting yourself through your words and photos and design :)

Great photos! You pull of bangs so well. I love what you said about not gaining huge popularity but I beg to differ. You have over 700 followers! That's pretty awesome in my opinion. And you do have wonderful readers because your blog is so inviting.

There is something so romantic about your pictures. Do you use a special filter, or is it your camera, or your house, or the light creeping into your kitchen? Whatever it is, it's beautiful.

I love your refreshing and heartfelt thoughts on blogging. It's nice to hear, especially when it seems people get competitive with this - what's with everyone caring more about page views than their own integrity?
