Winter Favorites
Urban Outfitters sweater, J.Crew top, Banana Republic necklace, Joe's Jeans, Aldo booties
During this chilly season I love wearing oversized sweaters. They are deliciously comfortable and still look stylish. Also, if you haven't noticed but stripes are everywhere and I couldn't resist snagging a few cute tops in the print. This one from J. Crew was so popular I think I may have purchased one of the last ones (literally). I am also married to these new Joe's Jeans stretchy skinny pants. Expect to see them on me all week! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I am excited to catch up on all of you sites!

Great inspiration room from Frou Frou Fashionista. If I ever decide to go this girlie and pretty then I am so stealing ideas from her room makeover!

Chanel Fall/Winter 2007
You might be wondering if I have been hit on the head and think it's the year 2007, but truth is I just fell in love with this collection. When I am bored at work I sneak onto one of my favorite websites Style.com and check out collection after collection. When I came across Chanel's Fall-Winter 2007 I fell in love with the way the girls where ladylike and glamorous with touches of rock star and edgy. The girls look like true Chanel women who are confident enough to wear their classic Chanel blouse disheveled with a sequin vest. I am definitely going to use this inspiration when dressing for winter. Plus, I am a sucker for a strong dark eyebrow! Just so you know- I will be out of town starting Thursday. If I have a chance I will do some short and simple posts, but I may not be updating very much! Happy Thanksgiving loves!

One Dress, Three Ways: Night on the Town
Forever 21 dress, H&M sequin cardigan, Banana Republic necklace, Steven Mary Jane heels, thrifted clutch
My third look for "One Dress, Three Ways" is for a night on the town! Now, we are talking. This dress was just begging to be paired with sequins and who am I to deny it! I wanted to find an outfit that could be worn for a fun date night or a evening party.I like to keep things simple so I only wore a necklace and a small snake skin clutch. The shoes are patent leather "Mary Janes" and are nice and tall. If I would add anything else I would have thrown in a large cocktail ring like this one.

One Dress, Three Ways: Work Wear
Forever 21 dress, Corey Lynn Calter skirt, Abercrombie & Fitch cardigan, Michael Kors watch, Mom's anchor pin, Anthropologie handbag
My second look for "One Dress, Three Ways" is for a day at the office. I dress for comfort to work (who am I kidding I always strive for comfort). I tucked the dress into my favorite skirt by Cory Lynn Calter and threw on some opaque tights from Forever 21 and comfy flats. I wanted to add some character to my otherwise simple cardigan by adding this gold anchor pin that my mom gave me. I love huge bags for work. I throw in my laptop and lunch and even a magazine. This bag is perfect for that and is a beautiful burgundy color.
Stay tuned for tomorrow when I wear the dress for a night on the town!

One Dress, Three Ways: Shopping with Friends
Forever 21 dress, Banana Republic leather jacket & necklace, thrifted boots, American Chic bag
During tough economic times a girl has to multi-task. She has to be clever and resourceful. That is why I decided to do a "How to Wear One Dress, Three Ways" on Sterling Style. The featured piece is this bustier fitted dress from Forever 21 from a few years ago. I thought it would be great to see the lingerie trend worn in different styles. Over the next three days (Friday, Monday and Tuesday) I will wear the dress for three different events.
My fist look for "One Dress, Three Ways" is for a day of shopping with friends. I wanted to try the dress for a day look. You know those days you meet your girlfriends out for some shopping and light lunch preferably with a glass of wine. I wanted to be comfortable, but still feel stylish. I love wearing brown with black. Not a lot of people like the combination, but I think it keeps this outfit from looking too night time.
Stayed tuned for Monday when I wear it to work.

Unconditional Love

I am using my boyfriend's computer tonight so I apologize for the short post. I saw this editorial at Fashion Gone Rogue and I was instantly drawn in by the dreamy quality to them and the unconditional love story being told. The last image is so beautiful. How fabulous is she with her bunny ears and handcuffs? Now, that is my kind of girl.

Perfect Fall Style
In the excitement over my new boots I wanted to share my favorite fall look. I know many of you may be in full on winter, but here in California it is just starting to get really cold. When I have to get out of the house during this chilly weather I go to my staple fall look: flat boots, layered shirts (preferably with stripes), black leggings and a coat. I initially fell in love with this look when Ashley Olsen rocked it, but now it seems to be everywhere and I couldn't be happier. It is chick, stylish, and best of all, mega comfortable! Here are a few items to help you achieve this look:
Forever 21 Shield Button Coat $42.80
Day Biger Et Mikkelsen Shirt $89.00
Juicy Couture Lively Watch $250.00
Ray_Ban Wayfarer Large $139.00
Juicy Couture Che Boots $599.00
Modcloth Quill Ring $7.99
Leggings (not shown) $69.50

Also, thank you to Celebrity Chic for the lovely feature!

Golden Girl
Mother's vintage sequin jacket, Zara dress, Cathy Jean heals
They say, "like mother, like daughter". I put this to the test by borrowing my mother's glamorous sequin jacket. This thing is probably from the early 90's and has been collecting dust in her closet for years. I remember she would wear it to her fancy New Year's Eve parties and look like a pretty ball of light. When I was younger I was not a fan of the loud sequins and bold shoulders, but since this style is mega popular right now I had to ask her if I could try her version. I felt bold and confident wearing this. This jacket is not for the timid; it calls for attention. I have to admit that I kind of liked it. However, I don't think I will be taking it from her.
Is there a blast from the past that you are itching to try?
