Planning a wedding takes a lot of time and energy. I always knew this, but somehow it never really registered till a few months ago. There are a ton of women who run their own business, have a very hectic life and can still plan an amazing wedding on top of it all. I've realized that I'm not that woman. I need a little help.
I've done a lot, don't get me wrong. I've got most of the big things taken care of. However, there are a million details that need attending to. I just can't seem to set aside my work (it's like my baby) long enough to truly get things taken care of. It's not that my wedding isn't something I'm looking forward to. On the contrary, it's something I'm very passionate about. It's more that planning a wedding and trying to grow a new business has been challenging.
At first, I decided I wanted to plan the entire thing. I figured I could make this a very fashionable DIY affair. While there will be plenty of DIY ideas at my wedding, I decided I needed more help. I finally had to admit to myself that I couldn't do this alone. This was hard, I was still ambitiously dreaming that I was going to throw this fabulous wedding all on my own (with the help of my family, of course).
Luckily, I realized that I have to do what's right for me and that maybe what's right is asking for more help. My family and I are still planning many of the details, but I hired Jacin of Lovely Little Details to help make my day extra special. Sometimes you just have to admit to yourself that you can't do it all, and that's okay!
