Taylor's Trend Report

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
I am a major trend connoisseur. Not that I partake in every trend, but I enjoy researching and being on top of them! Sometimes, I just make up my own for the month. I see something I like and it becomes a trend for me until I find something else to try. Here are the trends I am diggin' for the month of June.

Nudes
This trend has been hot all of spring, but I am still loving it for summer. There is nothing sexier than tan skin, a pretty little nude colored dress and a pair of flirty heels. Add a red lip and it's like the cheery on top! Check out my version here.
Sea foam Green
I am in love with this soft pastel green. It is unexpected and ethereal. I am on the hunt for a soft sea foam green dress for up upcoming June wedding.
Socks with Sandals
This as been a fun and funky trend that has been popping up during spring. I have tried it here. This month I love it with a huge pair of chunky platforms or playing peek-a-boo over short slouchy boots.
Sheer with Sequins-
Is there anything prettier than wearing something sheer and luminous over glimmering sequins? I don't think so and I will be wearing this all summer.
Bed Head-
For June I want to have messy bed head hair. Just like I rolled out if bed after a glamorous night out. Now, I just need to figure out how (I am hair styling challenged).
Summer Poncho-
Wearing a poncho doesn't scream summer, but that's what makes it so fabulous. There are some new and improved ponchos that work perfectly into your warmer wardrobe.
Coral-

After seeing Kate Bosworth in an amazing coral Calvin Klein number I have been drooling over coral everything, especially a light peachy pink version. Try wearing it like Kate with metallic heels and a simple updo.

Agreed on all. I don't think I can do the sock on, personally. And I am also hair styling challenged. My "bedhead" just looks like I haven't showered/combed my hair in two weeks, not the look I'm going for :)

Loving nudes, sheer with sequins and coral so much!

Peachy coral is a universally flattering shade. And I LOVE ponchos and am always happy to see them come back into season. I especially love aztec/tribal ones with fringe in the fall....swoon!

Great trend report - i love the nude trend, socks with sandals and bed hair! Sadly, my hair will just not allow me to do bed hair at all and lies flat to my head no matter what, so i will come and live vicariously through your messy bed hair!

This was really well done. I appreciate anything that takes hours to compile and do on photoshop or whatever photo editing software you used. I also have to agree with you on basically all of these trends. These are great ones. I especially love that you mentioned bed head because I have been looking at the Dace collection and their one model has the best bed head and I am also hair styling challenged. I am also really craving a poncho. I want one more for Fall but the summer one is such a different and fun twist.

Love this trend report Taylor! Such a great compilation! I love the sheer with sequins and know I need to get me some coral and sea foam green - def colors that make your tan pop! Bed head hair - girl you already have amazing hair with volume and texture. Unlike my flat pancake hair. Bead head on me just looks like I slept on it wrong. haha

Great post! I am in love with coral this spring/summer! My eyes are just instantly drawn to it wherever I go! Also loving the seafoam green, but haven't tried it out yet to see how it would look with my skin! And this definitely inspired me to keep an eye out for the sheer with sequins - SO pretty!

I've had some SERIOUS bedhead the last two mornings. And it looks kind of polished, too. I'm doing No Heat Summer 2010 (check my blog: http://fashionmommaintraining.blogspot.com) and am trying to do new things to my locks without using heated styling tools. All I do is shower at night, french braid my hair with some anti-breakage serum massaged in, and sleep! Voila, messy bedhead waves when I wake up. Then I just take a smoothing serum and softly smooth it over my strands for a shiny, more tamed look. Good luck!

I am not even going to delete this ridiculous comment that has me totally baffled. What is this Anonymous comment even referring to? Is it just to get clicks to her blog? I think this girl wanted to tell me about a comment that I left about the cute cards on Oh Joy-- and that she created them--but really confusing and weird??

Cool trend report! :) I liked the bed
hair trend best, because now I can be
totally lazy with my hair styling in
the mornings (my hair is kind of hard
to tame), and still be totally trendy LOL.

I am definitely craving a summer poncho, I love things that are cape-like. I'm really into corals right now too. I'd like to try nudes, but I think I'm too pale

i'm obsessed with trend watching too; it's so fun to "catch" things before they become mainstream. love this & have to agree with your entire list(i'm seriously obsessed with coral, seafoam, and nude color palette right now).
