As you all know I adore Stella McCartney's collections (examples of my obsession here and here). The Stella girl embodies a fun, flirty, savvy and sophisticated sense of style. She knows how to dress for her body, how to be practical for every occasion while always looking sharp and sexy. She may seem like she isn't fashion forward, but is quite the opposite. She knows fashion and trends like the back of her hand, but she isn't too literal.  She takes a trend and makes it approachable and wearable. She is the everyday fabulous woman!
This is exactly what I want my site to translate to all of you amazing women (and men)! I want to share how to be ridiculously obsessed with fashion, but then take that and make it work for you every day and at every occasion. I want you to have fun and take risks, but to stay true to who you are. Be a Stella girl.
This "Resort" 2011 (I strain to use the word resort after hearing Stella say she dislikes the word and would prefer spring) collection was debuted in a garden party oasis in New York City. There were pretty girls playing chess, dancing and sipping cocktails. The clothes were breezy and fun with dresses in appliqued flowers, eyelet white shorts and shockingly beautiful blue ensembles. The entire collection was uplifting and very spring. Makes me proud to be a Stella girl.

Now, for some shameless self promotion. I love Bloglovin' and I go there every day to check out all my favorite blogs in one spot. It makes it easy for me to see updates and keep track!

Please follow me through Bloglovin' and if you haven't signed up you really should!

I love the cerulean blue in the first image. It immediately reminded me of the Devil Wears Prada where Miranda says, "But what you don't know is that that sweater is not just blue, it's not turquoise, it's not lapis, it's actually curelean." lol I'm also a sucker for lace and florals so I guess I have no choice but to be a Stella girl!!

And i love what you said about being obsessed with fashion & taking those things & making them work for you in real life. I feel like that's something I strive to do everyday. (we're so on the same fashion page)!

Yeah, I was just looking through the 2011 Resort collections the other day and they're better than Fall 2010 I think. I usually prefer fall but this year I think they fell flat. Thanks for the great post...
