I have been thinking a lot about my own "brand" while I have been doing a lot of work on projects and even though I love trying new styles and playing around-I always come back to feminine and romantic styles. My first inspiration for starting a blog was based off of a blog post I saw on the fabulous Poetic and Chic on the "Miss Cherie Dior" commercial by Sophia Coppola. Watching that commercial made me giddy and really got the creative juices flowing. Looking back at this old inspiration board for my new place still resonates loudly with me.
So, when Modcloth sent me this beautiful blush and bashful dress I was instantly enamored. It fits like a glove and has a delicate heart shaped neckline. Just to add even more girlie goodness to it I added some turquoise scalloped heels. They give the dress a little shock of color, but keep with the flirty feel. The perfect dress for a romantic evening in a meadow with the one you love.

Wow I LOve the pink behind the white lace!! That is so cute! I wish I had a shower or something to wear this dress to! I love how you paired it fun bright colors as well.

I absolutely adore that romantic, soft, feminine, fantastical Miss Dior Cherie commercial by Coppola. I mean I'm not a huge fan of her films, but she does have a pretty good visual aesthetic that I admire. I can totally see the influence. Which reminds me of those photos you look with the balloons. I love balloons! Those turquoise heels are epic!

This look is lovely on you, the shoes and dress compliment your tan so well. I LOVE the MDC commercial - i actually was working in cosmetics when Dior had it created and were re-launching that brand. I saw it in a conference room and was instantly enamored with it.
