Spring Trend: Mixed Prints

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
One trend that I think is so hot for spring is mixing prints (check here for more mixed prints posts). This trend takes a girl with a bold sense of style and imagination. I don't know about you, but I am up for the challenge. So, how do you mix patterns without looking like a hot mess? The key is to find a base color. Use items in different prints that all have that color in them somehow. That will help you from mixing too many crazy patterns and make your look more cohesive. Also, look for patterns that don't compete against each other. For example, balance a thick graphic with a smaller print. The great thing about this trend is it's fun! This may take some experimenting in the beginning, but the end result can be magnificent. I recommend using this Elle US editorial as inspiration.
Mix bright colored shoes and accessories with this trend to give your outfit even more POP!

LOVE this! i'm going to go on a massive vintage shopping spree this weekend so i hope to find some good mixing pieces. although i've always loved prints so they already make up a good amount of my wardrobe

thanks for the sweet comment about my jewelry :) it is time consuming and especially hard since I have a full time job but it's what I want to do ultimately so it's worth it...i guess one advantage of having my boyfriend live in san diego is i have more time to work on it!

It isn't hard at all to start making money online in the hush-hush world of blackhat tools, It's not a big surprise if you have no clue about blackhat marketing. Blackhat marketing uses little-known or little-understood avenues to produce an income online.
