Yong Fabulous & Broke over-sized tee from Shopbop, vintage Levi shorts, Forever 21 boots, Urban Outfittes beanie
Recently I was the very lucky winner of Nova Style's Shop Bop contest! I won a $100 gift card! I spent a few days skimming over the many items I was salivating over. Problem was many of the things I wanted were $600 and even with my wonderful $100 credit I felt I couldn't take the plunge. So, I snagged this pretty over-sized tee from the line 'Young Fabulous and Broke" which I have to admit had some irony. The brand of this shirt is like my identity right now. I am a shopaholic and need help. I have been this way as long as I can remember. I don't see this changing anytime soon. I NEED to get better at saving so I can do all of the amazing things I want to do this year!
Now, I think I need to be realistic and not decide to never buy clothes all year, but maybe I can reward myself for hard work. For example, if I save an allotted amount for a month I get to spend a little on something for me! I am going to have to figure out something or I am going to be like "Carrie Bradshaw" and be an old lady who lives in a shoe (granted they will be stunning shoes)!
This look, in my humble opinion, is very glamorous grunge. I would have loved to pair it with some vintage combat boots or white high top converse, but I am not allowed to buy those until I accomplish some goals!sel

I love that shirt and your beanie is so cute! Here's some advice for you if you want it: allow yourself a certain amount of money per month to spend on clothes and put the rest away. Make a deal with yourself. Your savings will add up fast! Clothes are wonderful but so is being able to travel and see the world and not be in debt! Not that you're in debt but I'm sure Carrie Bradshaw was : ) Good luck!

I'm going through the exact same thing with wanting to spend the world but also wanting to save. Blogging about fashion is definitely not helping my cause!
I go through phases of being satisfied with my wardrobe and needing so many things.
My biggest dilemma is actually happening right now... I want one of those YSL rings...I should save that money...but I really think I need the ring. sigh. I'll probably get the damn ring.

The kind of resolutions about shopping that you mentioned never work (years of experience hehe) ask somebody kind to hide the credit card and under no circumstances give it back to you, even under the worst abstinence syndrom. Just kidding: if it makes you happy it can't be that bad :P
