Yesterday, I confessed to my fondness for the color pink. So it's probably no surprise that I'm digging everything blush toned. This soft subtle color is ultra feminine and sweet. I adore it in everything from dusty rose, petal pink, to slightly nude. I'm currently obsessing over Alice & Olivia's romantic chiffon dress--perfect for an evening wedding.

I'm a dress girl. I realized this last year while cleaning out my closet and discovering I owned over 70 dresses. While I wasn't totally surprised it did provoke me to start shopping for more tops and pants to round out my wardrobe. These Zara pants are such a beautiful pink* color and so silky. I'm excited to wear them this fall with this buttery leather vest by Vince. They work well with all the colorful accessories I've been loving lately.

*Someone recently asked if pink was my favorite color. I said no, but I'm starting to question my answer.

I'm still on a safari kick. This Old Navy vest was a steal and it works with so many different outfits. I can easily wear it with a pair of jeans, a maxi dress, or with a romper. It's perfect for summer when all you need at night is a light layer.

Bits Of My Weekend

Appreciated my grandparent's devotion and love.
Laughed with my niece over our family's love of sweets.

J. Crew Fall 2011 Lookbook

J. Crew is one of my all time favorite brands. They continue to inspire me with every collection! Their Fall 2011 collection is amazing. I love wearing color in the fall and their color choices are so bold and bright. Their new lookbook incorporates brights in such a quirky yet sophisticated way. Love!

Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

 

I'm a smoothie addict. Actually, I'm a healthy smoothie addict. I'm always on the hunt for new and creative recipes that aren't totally bad for me and still taste great. I recently asked Crystalin to try out a few smoothie recipes for Glitter Guide. One of her finds was a chocolate and peanut butter smoothie that tastes like it could be decadent but is actually guilt free! It didn't disappoint. I'll definitely be adding this one to my list of favorite late night teats.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie: 
2 Tbl unsweetened cocoa powder
2 Tbl peanut butter (I used Whole Foods Organic Creamy)
½ banana
1 cup almond milk (I used unsweetened)
splash of vanilla extract
ice (the more you use the thicker it will be)

Blend, serve, enjoy!

I love to wear color--always have. I remember in high school I treasured a pair of purple trousers that I found at Good Will. They were hideous but I really loved the color. It's fun having bright colors be so in style and it's encouraged me to experiment more with color pairings. Surprisingly this seafoam green blazer complimented my fuchsia top in a fun way. Even after this color trend fades I will still be wearing mine proudly.

Gaga For Green

I've been going gaga for the color green lately. Whether it's a hot neon or a soft seafoam, it's on my radar. I've fallen especially hard for green lace and want it in everything from bags to bathing suits. I also have my eye on the Proenza Schouler medium PS1 handbag. However, with it's heafty price tag I'll have to remain green with envy.
