Style to Savor: Sweet Tooth

This weekend I plan to indulge in sweet candies and desserts. I have sworn them off during the week so I can feel less guilty on the weekends! I plan to be rip open all my favorite candies (Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Snickers). I may even have to make these babies. So it seemed appropriate to share a new Style to Savor filled with the style and sweets I have been drooling over this week!

Heather F Williams artwork

I am a huge fan of artwork by Heather Williams. She creates the most whimsical and feminine illustrations. I was lucky to get to work with her in creating a few amazing images for Sterling Style. Heather is extremely talented and I can't wait to get my hands on more prints for my office and a custom design for my bedroom! Check out more of Heather's art at her Etsy shop. She also is a talented jewelry designer and made me my own necklace (worn here).

Sailor Stripes

Jacket- Zara, Dress- c/o of Modcloth,Tights- J. Crew, Flats-Gap, Clutch-vintage, Necklace- made by me

There is something about nautical pieces that I can't resist. They are so classic and cute at the same time. Despite their distinct look they are extremely versatile and go with everything. When I saw this jacket at Zara  it reminded me of Alexa Chung,  who I admit has a style that I drool over. Last night the temperature dropped drastically and even my tights weren't enough to keep me warm. It's time for slacks, oversized sweaters, and classic coats (like this one).

Gift Guide: Girlie Details

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

November is around the corner and that means it's time to start the holiday shopping. I finally get to put my professional online browsing skills to good use. For the first gift guide of the season I am focusing on girlie details. This is for the girl who loves whimsical feminine pieces, but doesn't want you to break the bank. She loves leopard print, sequins, bows, flowers and ruffles, but in subtle ways. She likes to wear a sleek white tee with a pair of skinny jeans, but pair it with pretty Mary Janes with bows and a glitzy bracelet.

Desk Decor

I always enjoy seeing where people blog from. I have been hesitant to show my space since I am still in the middle of decorating. Currently I am using an old folding table and have been searching for the perfect new addition. I have my eye on this modern Parsons desk from West Elm or a classic from Ikea. For now, here is a peak at my desk accessories. One item that I am obsessed with is this Stylit from Beth. I can use it for everyday, but the best part is there are pages for my inspirations and I can map out everything I want to wear for the week. Truly brilliant.

The girlie details help me forget I am sitting at a boring folding table, like my gold place mat from Target, pretty flower cards, Kate Spade notepads, and a cute French Bulldog calender. Check out a preview of my bedroom here.

Wet and Windy

Coat-H&M, Top-old Forever 21, Belt-Ralp Lauren,Skirt-Vintage, Flats- Steven by Steve Madden, Clutch-H&M, Bracelet-Forever 21

I apologize for these poor quality photos, but we got caught in the rain and had to work fast. I scored this skirt on Etsy recently and it is quickly becoming a new favorite. I love a rainy weekend. We spent time cleaning, laughing in a wine bar, eating delicious Mexican food and watching rented movies. I also headed up into San Francisco and met Anne for a lovely coffee date. Overall a fabulous weekend.

Wedding Wish List

I know, I know. I am not even engaged, but I read a lot of amazing blogs and can't help but get inspired by the everyone's fabulous weddings. I have always been so career driven, but as I mature, I start to daydream about making my big day fun and memorable. It's a day to celebrate your love and I plan to do it in style.

Feeling inspired by: Ban.do hair pieces, snow cones, take home ice cream, photo booths, color, Rifle wedding announcements, anything by The Flashdance team, tasty treats, a french macaroon cake, flowing dresses with tangerine heels, Sarah Seven dresses, and feminine details.
