Residence Resort

This last weekend the sun was shinning and the air felt crisp and clean. I spent most of the weekend enjoying many small pleasures (here) and it left me rejuvenated and relaxed.  I decided to create my own resort look with a sweet summery vintage smock dress and clean white slip on shoes for a day of cooking and running errands.

If you haven't noticed I don't cook much and when I do I usually make chicken and vegetables. However, the domestic bug has bitten and I have been obsessed with watching food network and reading Martha Stewart Living. I will share some of my trials and tribulations as I learn. This weekend I made a variation of this dish I found in Martha's magazine here.

Love the white slip ons! It's reassuring to know that other people don't run errands in six inch heels all day. More often than not I end up in a pair of moccasins.
