Girlie Geek

Nasty Gal top, H&M skirt, Seychelles shoes, Marc by Marc Jacobs bag, Etsy bow necklace, Ebay glasses

Wow, this is my last post in 2009! What an amazing year it has been. I started this blog in 2008, but I was not dedicated to it. In August of 2009 I decided if I am going to have a blog I HAVE to give it my heart and put more into it. Ever since then it has been a great experience. I have made so many blogger friends (you all have such big hearts) and my style keeps evolving! I was really uncomfortable posting outfit shots, but you all encouraged me to do more. Thank you! This year I was chosen to be an Alpha Shopper for Lucky Magazine (100 girls chosen across U.S.A. and starts January 12th), I have contributed to San Jose Fashion examiner, Style Caster and other great fashion sites,  and so many great opportunities and ideas have developed from this blog. I have all of you to thank. I have started a side project that I am excited to share in 2010! Stay tuned because I think next year is going to be a great one!

Vintage Leopard

Vintage jacket, Zara dress, Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag, Bebe boots, Michael Kors watch
I am wearing a lot of vintage lately. I love how the clothes have a history and are one of a kind. I imagine what things they have done and what events they have been too and it's fun. This jacket is pretty large and a very 80's, but I couldn't resist the sparkle and the leopard! Also, I am loving my new Marc Jacobs handbag that my darling boyfriend gave me for Christmas!

What gift were you the most excited about this Christmas?

New Year's circa 1986

Vintage 80's dress, Thrift clutch, Bebe booties
I have finally wrapped up my Christmas festivities and ready to enjoy some time off work. I have a lot of things on my list. New Year's Eve is around the corner. I found this vintage dress and envisioned a stylish girl wearing this to her New Year's in 1986, but then I thought I want to be that girl. Now, I am not sure I am doing a big New Year's this year, but I wanted to rock this dress so I am wearing it today as I type this post. I am feeling it out and I must say it hugs your body in all the right ways and the crystal necklace that is ATTACHED is pretty awesome. I know it is a bold dress and but with my hair all curly and my towering heels I felt a little like Carrie Bradshaw. Now, I just need somewhere to wear it to!

Bang Fever

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I am suffering from bang fever! I am really thinking about cutting them. I had them a few years ago and liked them, but wasn't totally convinced and now I am itching to do something different. What do you guys think? Should I cut bangs?
Ok, off to see Wicked today in San Francisco! I will catch up with everyone soon!

Strong Shoulder & Sass

Queen's Wardrobe dress, Aldo booties, Forever 21 clutch, Raybans
For this "Trend Trial" I wanted to rock some really strong shoulders. This is a trend I am so down with! I love the bold style and it is slenderizing! This is a sleek black dress I got from Queen's Wardrobe . I paired it with booties and a small gold clutch. I wanted to keep the look simple for now and draw attention to the shoulders. You can see I had my crazy rat's nest hair going that day. I think the strong shoulder has come back in such a modern way. How do you feel about this trend?

I hope all of you have a Happy Holiday!! I probably won't post until after Christmas! I can't wait to read all about your amazing week later!!
