Charlotte Ronson's NYC Aparment

I'm utterly smitten with Charlotte Ronson's bohemian chic NYC apartment. I admire the way her feminine and vintage touches are stylish, but understated. Charlotte's home was recently featured in Glamour Magazine's "How To Do Anything Better Guide", where they  gave seven easy steps to designing your home on a budget. These last few weeks I have been doing exactly that. I'm hunting for cheap but amazing items on Etsy and spray painting old items to look new and fresh. I bought an inexpensive Brigitte Bardot poster and framed some of my favorite artwork. The littlest things can make a big difference.

Like Charlotte's home my cottage is full of eclectic pieces and hand me downs. It's challenging to find new ways to mix it up. I've learned that not everything is going to be perfect and that maybe being perfect isn't all it's cracked up to be.

To see previews of my home head: here and here and here.

Love this post Taylor! Just in the process of moving into a new place... a long process as we're in a temporary place for three months while we find something more permanent (searching for flats in Zurich is a nightmare)... but I LOVE seeing interior decorating tips! Especially when they are original like these ones from Charlotte.

Going to check out the links to look at your place now! More posts about interiors please! I love them. xx

eclectic is right. that headboard might be the cutest vintage-y thing i've ever seen. i'd love to live in a home that looks like this.

Beautiful! I love how it looks lived in. There are some really original pieces-I hate rooms that look like they've bought everything from a room set up in a catalogue. Thanks for sharing!

The poster in her kitchen is so fun! How clever of you to pick up on the femme fatal vibe and get a brigitte bardot print. Great idea!

The accents and the furniture in Charlotte Ronson's home are quite delectable...I really love the hand - me - down wooden chairs. It's so nice to see things recycled and refurbished and transform interior rooms into wonders.

I love how she used overside pictures and frames on the walls... it gives the eclectic, boho vibe a contemporary feel.

When I saw this in my Glamour, I was like wow, this is exactly how I want my place to look. Unfortunately having a husband who has completely different aesthetic than me, we've gotta make a couple compromises.
