On My Mind: Apartment #34

A few months ago I decided to do my own version of the popular "On My Mind" feature in InStyle magazine (here). When I discovered that many of you love that section too I decided to turn it into a series. Now you can look forward to finding out what many of your favorite bloggers have on their minds.

The first person I thought of was Erin from Apartment #34. I've been a long time follower of Erin's site and even blogged about it back when I first started Sterling Style (see it here). She's got an eye for the fabulous so I wasn't surprised that her list left a lot on my mind too.


1. Morning perk- A daily cappuccino, the more authentically Italian the better, makes hauling myself out of bed in the dark (somewhat!) more worth it.

2. Beauty palette- Always a little foundation and concealer. I stick with Laura Mercier, a dash of gray eyeliner, under the the lash line, a swipe of black mascara, dot of Georgia Peach blush and a neutral lip pencil (I've gone matte for winter!).

3. Signature scent- Burberry, a gift from my husband that I absolutely cannot leave the house without. 

4. Style icons- Modern day: Rachel Bilson, Alexa Chung, NYC street style, Timeless: Katherine Hepburn.  

5. Shoes du Jour- Solid-heeled sky-high pumps. These Dsquared pumps epitomize everything I love in shoes right now - classic shapes and styles, but with a a fashion forward twist.

6. Guilty pleasure: Luxurious meals with my husband. There is nothing better than a date night over an amazingly fantastic dinner, nice bottle of wine, luscious dessert and uninterrupted time together. 

7. Next Purchase- I'm coming late to the utilitarian trend but I'm loving a tough looking bootie ~ especially when mixed in with a feminine look - I want to carry it over into spring this year!

8. Craving- My 1-year wedding anniversary trip to Belize so I can wear these Diane Von Furstenberg wedges!
