Dress-Urban Outfitters, Long sleeve-Forever21, Shoes-Sam Edelman, Bag-Zara, Earrings-H&M, Watch-Michael Kors, Bangle-vintage, Sunglasses-Rayban

This week the weather has been overcast and a bit chilly. It has been a nice change from the blazing summer heat. I've always been partial to the rain (mentioned here) and use to wish for rain on my birthday. When I was younger my parents took me to Seattle so I could experience the rainiest city. With this gloomy weather comes a few more layers. This vintage inspired dress from Urban Outfitters is the perfect color and style to transition into fall. I'm looking forward to wearing it with tights, flats, and this jacket.

Layers are always great because you can then use your summer outfits a bit longer.
Well if you ever need some more rain, might I suggest coming to Copenhagen Denmark?
It is pouring right now actually :o)

That jacket is gorgeous and will go with this ensemble perfectly. I'm a fan of rainy weather, as long as it doesn't get into my bones. I feel like it's best enjoyed from under a blanket and behind a book.

You totally rock the layered look. I love the use of using a long t shirt underneath. Will have to try it this season for sure!

I LOVE the color of your bag. I'm really drooling over the color combo of that leather with black. It's on my to-do sewing list this month (like nine million other things, lol).

You look great! Those sunglasses suit you, too, I want a pair! Layers are so necessary at the moment... I'm finding it difficult to choose the right clothes because it's chilly in the morning and warmish during the day.

You always layer black and brown so well together, I'm jealous! That purse is amazing. You look beautiful in these photos and your style is transitioning into fall so well. I can't wait to see what you wear for winter!
I am so excited to bring out all of my winter coats and boots, but I need some stylish items like you've got to make the transition first. As always, loving your blog!

I feel the same way about rain. I think the rain speaks to artist types... dreamy dreary and gray - love!

P.S. - I love how you made the dress weather appropriate by layering. So cute!

Lovely! I love autumn for so many reasons, one of those being layering! Great idea to put that long-sleeve shirt underneath the dress. Urban Outfitters has the best dresses ever. I love how they're incorporating more vintage style pieces. So cute!

Also, love the fact that you're from San Francisco! Great way to represent us and to show that we are as fashionable as New York and L.A. :)
