Mix It Up: Patterns

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Urban Outfitters knit beret, New York Co. Blazer, H&M Scarf, Juicy Couture dress, Michael Kors heels
One of my favorite fashion trends is mixing patterns. I love how much texture and interest they bring to any outfit. One of my most coveted items is my H&M scarf (around 2006). My friends and mother often steal it out of my closet! It has amazing rich tones of burgundy and purple. You can reverse the sides for different colors. I wanted to find a dress that had similar colors and patterns. The closest one I had was this Juicy Couture dress from earlier this year.

Here is a  link to a blogger who is an expert at pattern mixing:

The Glamourai  My ultimate favorite. She is amazing! I have a ways to go.

Only a few people can pull off mixing patterns and may I say, you are one of them. You have the eye and you've got style.

I think you did a great job with the pattern mixing! I'm always wary of trying that so thanks for the glamourai blog recommendation!

your outfit is very effortless chic. and I like how you grounded the patterns with basic black tights/shoes and a black blazer. love!
